PREMISE

sinnuendo is a private invite-only game set in purgatory as it takes on the guise of a city called Misericordia. Your characters are "reborn" here after their deaths in canon. It's up to you how that death came about. Your character won't remember it anyway. As far as they're concerned, they've always been in Misericordia, suffering a miserable existence. On occasion, they have dreams about their old life but those tend to fade away as soon as they wake up. Only through acts of repentance can your character slowly regain their old selves and leave the city for the true afterlife. We leave these regains up to the player. All we ask is you don't go too fast. Two to three regains a month should be ok. Of course, you can also have your character go in the opposite direction and damn themselves further, eventually casting them into the inferno. It's all up to you. LOCATIONS

FOODIE TOWN The realm of gluttons. If your character's major sin was eating in excess, they're in for a treat. Well, a treat they can't have. Most gluttons will find themselves working dead-end jobs here, serving as waiters and kitchen staff, offering up mouthwatering food to others but not being able to partake in it themselves. The apartments here have delicious scents constantly wafting in to further whet the appetite.

THE SLUMS Home of the prideful stripped of everything they hold dear. Nobody wanders into these parts if they can avoid it. The stench of garbage and a sense of worthlessness clings to everything. You won't find anything to be proud of here. Can you make something of yourself despite a humbled heart?

THE RED LIGHT DISTRICT Lust rules this district but most who wander here end up frustrated. Patrons of whores in a former life now find themselves trading places with the people they once treated like pleasure objects. If you happen to find someone to fuck for a fee, don't expect to get any satisfaction out of it.

THE FINANCIAL HUB So much money and power. None of it's for you. This is the home of the greedy, trapped in cramped apartments and working lowly jobs that pay a measly salary while their bosses live the high life. Work your tail off all you want. You won't start to earn what counts unless you learn to focus on something other than money.

CITY HALL Envy hides better than most of its kin. In the halls of power, jealousy reigns. Everyday, unfulfilled souls find themselves watching people move up in the world whether it's through promising political careers or a blossoming young marriage. Meanwhile, they're trapped pushing paper and trying to cut through red tape.

THE CITY JAIL Wrath is a beast best kept caged. Maybe that's what landed you in the clink. Or maybe you were wrongfully imprisoned? Are you going to let your anger eat away at you? Parole's coming up and the outside world is far from kind. Will you lash out or try to make the best of things?

THE PARTY SCENE Sloth means lazing around, doesn't it? What's with all this partying? Welcome to your new life, you sad slob. Your sorry excuse of an apartment building is sandwiched amid all the seedy clubs in the city. Every night, dubstep makes your floors vibrate. Did we also mention you're right by the train? As for work, you probably serve at one of the city's hotels, toiling to straighten out those silk sheets and clean out those lavish rooms while you're functioning on minimal shut-eye.
